MaxMara: 55 years of Fashion
 

The Exhibition COATS! Max Mara: 55 years of Italian fashion, has just opened in Tokyo's Mori Arts Centre and to celebrate, the fashion house has created a beautiful winter coat called, aptly, the Kimono. Made of pure camel hair and cinched in at the waist with a leather belt, the design - available in classic camel or black - has been produced in a strictly limited edition run of 150 pieces, which are available exclusively in MaxMara boutiques around the globe now. With China, Spain, the United States and Italy on the tour schedule next, there'll be quite a wait before the exhibition itself hits London, but a catalogue documenting the event – which includes a contributions from London's own Colin McDowell – is available at UK bookstores now, published by Skira, to whet our appetites.
