To commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Wizard of Oz next year, Gwen Stefani, the singer turned designer, has been chosen as one of 19 designers to interpret the infamous red shoes.

Other designers include: Alberta Ferretti, Christian Louboutin, Jimmy Choo and Oscar de la Renta.

All designs will be showcased, firstly in Saks Fifth Avenue, then at tents at Bryant Park during New York Fashion Week, a tour of the Us and then lastly off to be auctioned for charity.

Stefani will of course have the helping hand of Swarovski...get the sunglasses at the ready - I predict much bling!
