The art of Denim

As Damien Hirst continues his collaboration with Levi's, the fusion of art and denim appears to be a growing trend as Diesel is soon to unveil a new installation at the Diesel Denim Gallery in SoHo.

The installation entitled "Arrojadoa" will feature the works of Dutch design firm Moooi and Spanish artist Jaime Hayon.

Opening on May 19th, the exhibition will coincide with New York Design Week and the release of Jaime Hayon Works, the artist's first monograph.

Fashion Week Daily reports that the works have a cactus-like structure with totem-esque pieces like stools, tables, mirrors and trays.

Renzo Rosso, president and founder of Diesel, commented on the project: "Whether the art is explosive, controversial, or inspiring, Diesel holds no boundaries when collaborating with artists."
