Harrods teams up
with Design Museum for lecture series
The Design
Museum and London department store Harrods have
partnered to produce the Design Icons - Lecture Series - six design-focused
lecture and debating events taking place between April 15 and May 23. Leading
designers and experts have been enlisted to take part in the events, including
fashion designers Roland Mouret, who joins a panel on open debate 'What Makes a
Design Icon?', chaired by Design Museum Director Deyan Sudjic, on April 15 at
Harrods; and Vivienne Westwood, who presents her manifesto 'Active Resistance
to Propaganda' on May 2 at the Design Museum. Other people involved include
Alastair Lansley, chief architect of St Pancras International and industrial
designers Ross Lovegrove and Richard Sapper.
