Paris Fashion Week: grand finale

Paris Fashion Week came to a close last night, bringing to an end four weeks of back-to-back shows and parties.

The final fashion week of the season displayed inspiring collections along with shining celebrities like Jessica Alba, the Olsen twins and Claudia Schiffer to the front row and Amy Winehouse to the stage.

At the Fendi party on Friday night, the Rehab singer got a rousing welcome from a fashion set usually blasé about star performances. Dressed in her usual black dress, with beehive and black eyeliner intact, Amy told the crowd: 'Forgive my ignorance, I don't know anything about fashion.'.

On the catwalk things were a little more romantic, with beautiful autumnal collections from both Olivier Theyskens for Nina Ricci and Alexander McQueen.

Inspired by 'finding things in the attic', Theyskens created a collection filled with beautiful jackets, feathered dresses and, of course, some stunning evening gowns.

Dresses were key at McQueen as well, along with mohair knits and some spectacular tailoring.
