Dropping trend
If London Fashion Week trends are the ones
to follow, it seems like the hemlines forecast for next winter is ankle-grazing.
Christopher Kane and Marios Schwab, two of the hottest names in the British
fashion industry, yesterday turned their backs on short, sexy dresses in favour
of long hemlines and sombre shades of grey.
In other trend news Todd Lynn gave us his
latest twist on tailoring - this season, tucking jackets into trousers for the
appearance of all-in-ones and adding strips of fur - and TopShop New Gen
first-timers Krystof Strozyna and MeadhamKirchoff drew a curious
crowd to see their hot pink power suits and bunched-up high waist skirts.
Today Gareth Pugh, Giles Deacon and Henry Holland hit the catwalk, in the
possible coolest today of the week
Lulu Kennedy's Fashion East babies will also be unveiling their latest
creations at the E1 venue. Louise Gray and Noki will be returning to the Old
Truman Brewery venue where they will be joined by newcomer David David.
