London
Fashion Week Wins Funding
Earlier this year The London Development Agency (LDA) threatened to withdraw
funding if the British Fashion Council did not take action to protect the
interest of underweight and underage models but they have now confirmed plans
to continue their support.
A funding package worth £4.2million has been given to the BFC to provide
business support and raise the profile of London Fashion Week to international
markets.
This money will help the new talent emerging from London's world-class fashion colleges and
give emerging designers the business support needed to build on their success.
