SEWELL LEAVES BROWNS

Fashion buyer Yasmin Sewell announced that she is leaving Browns to set up her own fashion and retail consultancy business. It was the hottest gossip at the British Fashion Awards on Tuesday night and now the rumour mill is in full throttle as we all wonder who will take up the hallowed position at the front of British fashion buying. Yasmin, whose Poland Street boutique Yasmin Cho was one of the chicest of the early Noughties, began as fashion consultant for Browns before taking on international status as the store's buying director. Following in her footsteps, whoever takes up the job is bound for the style spotlight with one of the industry's most respected figures, Browns founder Mrs B, there to show them the way.
