Calvin Klein and his secret fashion show
Calvin Klein presented his latest spring/summer
2008 collection last night at London's University of Westminster . The show was part of a
live art installation by Turner Prize-winning artist Martin Creed. Naomi Watts hosted
the evening, which saw models standing on wrought iron staircases or parading
rhythmically around an 18-piece orchestra set up on a catwalk-style plinth in the
centre of the room. Mary-Kate Olsen, in huge black pony-skin ankle boots and a
whimsical nude Calvin Klein evening dress, was guest of honour; she sipped
Veuve Cliquot with the brand designer Francisco Costa and his fellow creative
directors Italo Zucchelli and Kevin Carrigan in an exclusive corner booth,
while London designers Richard Nicoll, Henry Holland and the Sinha-Stanic duo
caught up following their own spring/summer shows.
