YSL shops close the doors, for one day!

The YSL Shops around the world will pay a tribute to its mentor death on day of  his funeral. As a mark of respectall YSL stores worldwide will close their doors for the duration of the ceremony, which will be held in Paris, on Thursday, the 5th of June.

For London shoppers, this means that YSL's Sloane and Bond Street stores will not be accessible between 2.30pm and 4.30pm.

"The entire Yves Saint Laurent organisation is overwhelmed by the news of Monsieur Yves Saint Laurent's death," says the company's ceo, Valerie Hermann. "His unmatched genius revolutionised the world of fashion and left on it an inimitable mark."

"Our thoughts are with his family and friends, and particularly with Pierre Berge."
